They say you find your person when you're least expecting it and that's exactly what happened with us.

It was both of our first year at Mississippi State. We were both living our best lives, enjoying everything college had to offer.

It was just like any other Thursday night, Mimi was going out with her friends while Jordan's friends were dragging him to go out too (he was trying to study but thank goodness they talked him out of it!).

We both ended up at a local bar, Moes and by fate, we danced all night together until the lights came on (literally). Sweaty and thinking that Jordan would surely run after seeing her in the light at the end of the night, Jordan wasn't phased and asked Mimi for her number. (By this time it was actually the early hours of valentine's day *swooooon*)

Soon after meeting, the world shut down due to COVID. Classes moved to remote, Mimi had to move out of her dorm, and Jordan his apartment.

With Mimi in Columbia, TN and Jordan in Pascagoula, MS (7 hours apart) we both thought it was the end of whatever we had started. Little did we know, it was only the beginning!

With the pandemic being at its height there were constant facetimes til the early hours of the morning and eventually that wasn't enough so we started making trips to see each other.

We were able to spend most of quarantine together at our happy places, Pickwick Lake and 30A. It was over that spring and summer that we quickly became inseparable.

After spending any chance we could get together that summer, a new school year started where we grew closer and closer, becoming each other's best friend.

We got to experience the best 3 years of college together and then summers together in Starkville or 30A. After we graduated from Mississippi State, we decided to make the move together to one of our favorite places, the beach.

And it's in that same place that holds our best memories since the beginning and the place we have called home for 2 years now that we will get married on March 14, 2026.

5 years later and our love has only grown and we wouldn't want to do life with anyone else but each other. We can't wait to see what God has in store for us.
